Consumer confidence is at its highest point since January 2022, according to the Conference Board Consumer Confidence Index.

The index hit 109.7 in June, a healthy increase from 102.5 in May, according to a CNN report.

"If packed-full restaurants and airports were not enough to convince you that consumers are feeling good at the moment, look at the present situation index, which notched its best monthly gain since December 2022," Wells Fargo economists wrote in a note released this week.

In a statement the organization stated that the highest level of confidence is being seen among consumers 35 years old and younger and those earning more than $35,000.
