Charles Dumont, a self-checkout entrepreneur based in Cerbère, France, is seeking partners for a checkout-free technology, "I Shop Then Free To Go," according to an email sent to Kiosk Marketplace.
The concept combines technologies designed to enhance the shopping experience and increase retail sales by reducing labor costs, increasing floor space and minimizing losses due to theft and errors. It encompasses integration of a mobile version, a kiosk and an "undisclosed iteration that holds the potential to transform the industry."
The concept does not rely on barcodes, QR codes, computer vision, RFID or face or body tracking.
