It’s Veteran’s Day, and after picking up their free doughnut at Dunkin’, former and active duty service members can enjoy a number of deals from major retailers. IKEA, Amazon, and Kohl’s, to name just a few, are offering 15%, 20%, and 30% discounts respectively on select items.

Here’s what else is going on in retail this week:

In deals: Walmart is getting a head start on its Black Friday sales with exclusive deals for its Walmart+ members starting at 5pm ET on Monday. These deals will be available for all customers and stores on Friday. The deal days are one of three events staggered throughout the month of November and culminating Black Friday weekend.

In data: Both the consumer price index and monthly retail sales for October are dropping this week. The former, releasing on Wednesday, is forecast to increase 0.2% month over month, down from 0.3% in September. This figure was higher than expected while still showing continued slowing in inflation. The latter, which releases on Thursday, was up 0.4% month over month and 1.7% year over year in September on the back of higher discretionary spending. This latest report will encompass much of Halloween-related spending, which the NRF forecast to drop 5% this year.

In earnings: Home Depot is scheduled to release its Q3 earnings on Tuesday. Over the summer, the home improvement chain lowered its sales outlook for the second half of the year, citing higher interest rates and greater economic uncertainty. Shopify is also reporting on Tuesday, and it’s coming off of a strong Q2. The e-commerce platform reported double-digit growth in gross merchandise volume and gross payment volume.

In events: Retail Summits is hosting its latest event in Miami on Wednesday. The “boutique style of live event” will bring together e-commerce experts from retailers and brands, including representatives from Campbell Soup Company and Jacq’s.
